ROOFING SIMI VALLEY: OUR PROJECTS

We take pride in serving Simi Valley with the most reliable roofing services such as roof leak repair, roof maintenance, roof inspection, and roof installation.

Ventura County has a very dry and hot climate. And, when it comes to roofing Simi Valley, that could create quite an issue.

When your roof was constructed, it was surely done so with this dry heat in mind. Unfortunately, no matter how good the construction and technology are, man is just no match for the damaging effects of the sun. The constant beams of sunlight that shine down on the roof wreak havoc on the surface.

The sun emits heat, energy, and UV rays that can take a toll on everything in its path. And, as it shines down on your beautiful Simi Valley home, your roof is the first thing it meets. And despite its rugged construction, the damage is caused over time. You will visibly be able to see your tiles beginning to appear warped, broken, misaligned, or shrinking.

WHY QUALITY SIMI VALLEY ROOFING IS IMPORTANT

Take this sun damage and combine it with the harsh winds that come with the Santa Ana winds each fall and you’ve got an even bigger situation. We aren’t talking about small, minor winds. The Santa Anas can bring in sustained winds of over 115mph – that is hurricane strength wind! Constantly whipping up against your home – and you're worn out roof tiles – leaving you with the potential for roof damage.

The weather in Simi Valley is beautiful. But, that doesn’t mean it won’t cause issues for roofing in Simi Valley. And, since your roof is an integral part of your home, your best bet is to stay proactive and monitor your roof throughout the year. Use your ladder and visually inspect the status of the roof. However, what you don’t want to do is walk on it. Believe it or not, walking on your roof could cause more damage than the sun and Santa Anas combined!

If you notice that your roof tiles are changing, dissolving, or misaligned, it is imperative that you contact a professional as soon as possible. Addressing small problems is how you avoid having to address large ones.

Of course, you can skip your own assessment and leave the monitoring to a professional roofing company in Simi Valley. A professional roof inspection every few months can save you from costly repairs in the future.

ROOFING SIMI VALLEY: ROOF LEAK REPAIR AND ROOF MAINTENANCE

Tiled roof on a Simi Valley home had a leak right at the interception of the roof facets. The area became clogged, making it impossible for the water to drain, which in turn caused the leak. We started by replacing all of the damaged plywood, adding double layers of the underlayment, and modifying the drainage for better water flow. We left no penetrations on the underlayment because we glued the tiles on with hybrid for adhesive instead of nailing them on. Extensive roof maintenance followed this project when we were roofing Simi Valley. We mastic sealed all of the valley metals, added torch down roof membrane to help with waterproofing, caulked all of the vent caps with industrial grade material, cemented new mortar to the ride and rake joints, painted the vent caps and chimney caps, and added mortar cement to aid in sun protection and waterproofing the roof.

This is the clogged interception of roof facets that caused the initial problems.

SIMI VALLEY COMPOSITION ROOF LEAK REPAIR

While roofing Simi Valley, this house with a 3 tiered roof had a very serious leak. The top roof is of Presidential shingle, which has a very unique installation pattern. The leak was caused because the installation was not done correctly. We removed all 3 tiers of the roof, added double layers of forty pound underlayment, and installed new Presidential shingles. We finished off this Simi Valley roofing project by adding industrial grade waterproofing to the entire valley of the roof.
